Cleveland Institute of Art is one of the nation’s leading independent colleges of art and design.
We are seeking an Assistant Director of Web + Digital Marketing. The successful candidate will be eager to join a small, collaborative, and energetic team of marketing and communications professionals who work hard, have fun, and feel passionate about CIA’s mission to empower the artists and designers of the future. The role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing content on our website and social media.
This position works closely with the director of communications and others on the M+C team to drive compelling written and visual communications for the purposes of marketing the college and communicating with internal and external audiences. The position is the key manager of CIA’s digital storefront—our external-facing website—and will design and implement campaigns across our social media channels. Other responsibilities include updating content on CIA’s website and mobile site; driving strategic email marketing efforts; working with the IT Dept. to assess and maintain website accessibility standards; assessing and optimizing performance of the CIA website using Google Analytics; assessing emerging marketing technologies, and providing thought leadership.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and have 3-5 years of experience with content management systems, social media, and email marketing systems. Experience with web accessibility is a strong plus. A bachelor’s degree in digital communications, web design, computer science or related field is required.
