We need your creative talent!

For this year’s summer exhibition (May 27- September 4) at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, we’re focusing on birds! One section of this exhibition will be composed of handmade birdhouses, preferably crafted from recycled or upcycled materials.

Stipulations:

  • Houses cannot be painted on the interior.
  • We must be able to open or otherwise access the interior for cleaning.
  • There should be no protruding screws or nails that could harm the birds.
  • We retain the right to turn houses away for violating these stipulations.
  • We are not liable for any damage caused to the birdhouses during the exhibition – they are likely to become weathered over the three months of the show.
  • We will return the houses at the end of the exhibition with the caveat that they will stay up if birds are inhabiting them.

Anyone is welcome to contribute to this exhibit – we’re trying to get as many birdhouses as possible!  The exhibit runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, so submissions are due by May 19th. Submissions may be dropped off at either Cleveland Botanical Garden’s security desk or the Corning Visitor Center at the Holden Arboretum with the name and contact information of the craftsperson.
