Call for Teaching Artists – Cleveland Institute of Art’s Continuing Education Program

Cleveland Institute of Art’s (CIA) Continuing Education and Community Outreach (CECO) program offers dynamic art and design classes through unique course content. Each semester, we serve adults and students in grades 5-12 by helping each individual learn new techniques or improve existing skills.

Our courses for adults and young artists cover a wide range of processes and mediums, and can accommodate all skill levels. Evening classes for adults take place once a week for an eight-week session, or Saturdays during the morning or afternoon. Summer Young Artist classes take place daily on weekdays between June 6 - 17, in the morning or afternoon timeslot.

We are currently seeking Teaching Artists in the areas of Adobe Creative Cloud, Animation, Brand Design, Digital Arts, Drawing and Illustration, Fiber and Textiles, Graphic Design, Game Design, Painting, Photography, UX Design, Web Design, and more for our upcoming term.

Both in-person and online teaching opportunities are available.

Proposals must be submitted by Monday, February 7, 2022 for consideration for our summer term. Once we receive your proposal materials, a Continuing Education staff member will be in contact with you to discuss scheduling opportunities and next steps.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss a proposal idea or have questions regarding the Continuing Education program.
