Call for Dancers
CDP Company is a 501c3 professional contemporary fusion dance company committed to promoting wellness for dancers, educating the community on the benefits of movement for physical and mental health, and creating works that spark thoughtful engagement.
We are seeking dancers for our 2022-2023 season, contracts are July-June. Dancers must be 18+ and have strong technical foundations in ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles as well as proficiency in commercial styles.
*Company dancers are paid hourly for rehearsals, as well as paid for performances & outreach, and receive injury prevention screens, optional monthly sessions with company physical therapist, cross training programs, headshots & dance shots, free CDP showcase tuition & master classes.
*Company apprentices will receive free master classes & headshots, an initial injury prevention assessment by our company physical therapist, discounted physical therapy sessions, and the opportunity to train with and perform with our elite company.
All dancers must be able to commit 3 hours on Sundays for rehearsal (most likely 11:30am-2:30pm), as well as for another 1.5 hours/week (day/time TBD based on dancer availability, Wednesday 7-8:30pm until August, and then either Friday evening or Saturday late afternoon from Sept-May) to cross training/technique activities. Rehearsals are usually in Broadview Heights or Berea.
Auditions are Sunday July 17 from 2-4pm at Above The Barre on 1450 W Bagley Rd, Berea. Pre-registration required. All attendees will have the option to receive feedback from our judging panel after the audition.
Video submissions will be accepted, but strong preference will be given to those who attend auditions. Video auditions will still need to register & pay the fee, and send an email to cdpcompany501c3@gmail.com for further instructions.
