Call for Artists: MARTK’D: Art On Sneakers Competition

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Culture Junkie, Yellowbrick.co, MARTK’D, DTLR/VILLA & famed sneaker designer, artist and Cleveland native, Alexander John have teamed up for the first-ever MARTK’D: Art On Sneakers Competition at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The unique competition will give 30 Cleveland visual artists two 20-minute rounds to design original art on sneakers around the theme of Black Representation in Sports in honor of the Cavs 16th Annual Black Heritage Celebration. Audience attendees will vote for the top 10 designs, then special guest judges will decide the grand prize winner, who will earn the opportunity to design a limited edition t-shirt for the Cavs and sports lifestyle brand, 47.
