BAYarts Juried Show *Call for Entries*

BAYarts Annual Juried Show: March 12, 2021-April 3, 2021

Professional and amateur artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of artwork for the BAYarts Annual Juried Show. Cash prizes awarded. All entries must be submitted online. 

RULES OF ENTRY:

• Artists must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the US or Canada
• Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces of original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media. 
  • The first two pieces for $35, a third piece may be submitted for an additional $10
• All work must have been executed within the last 5 years and not previously shown at BAYarts.
• Time-based, electronic media, performance art, and installations will NOT be accepted.
• Giclee Prints of original artwork will NOT be accepted
• Work exceeding 42 inches in any dimension will be excluded due to space
• Work may not exceed seventy pounds in weight
• If applicable, artists are responsible for the cost of delivery and/or shipping and must arrange for the return shipping via prepaid shipping labels
• Entries must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition
• Artists must grant permission for BAYarts to use their images and information in promotional materials

ENTRY PROCESS: 

All entries must be submitted electronically through Entrythingy.com. Entry fees will be made through PayPal during the submission process. For more information on how to submit your work with the Entrythingy tool see their tutorial videos here. Use of Entrythingy tool for submission purposes is free to the artists. The deadline for entry is 8PM Saturday, March 6, 2021.

TIMELINE FOR NOTIFICATION:

All accepted entries will be notified between 4 PM and 8 PM on Tuesday, March 9th by telephone or email. A list of all accepted work will be posted on the BAYarts website www.bayarts.net Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 at 10 AM. Work not accepted will receive no notification from BAYarts.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCEPTED ENTRANTS:

All accepted work should be delivered to BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village OH 44140 - between 9 and 7 PM Weds March 10th or between 9 and 12 PM March 11th. All work must be wired and ready to hang - work not wired will not be accepted- no sawtooth hangers, please.  BAYarts WILL RETAIN 40% OF EACH SALE.

JUROR BIO:

REBECCA CROSS - A recipient of the Textile Society of America New Professional Award (2010), artist Rebecca Cross exhibits her work nationally and internationally, including in Sweden, Paris, Budapest, and Nagoya, Japan. Solo shows include presence/absence at the Morgan Paper Conservatory in Cleveland, Ohio (2012); Like a River at the Sculpture Center Cleveland (2013); and Silk and Steel at Hedge Gallery, Cleveland, OH ( January 2018), and Ephemera, BAYarts, Bay Village, OH (October 2020).
