A Dark Comedy about the art of choosing a Pre-School Directed by Kevin Kelly
The production runs Feb 8th to Feb 17th
Rehearsals will start Jan 6th, taking place Sunday to Thursday.
For Auditions: Prepare a one minute monologue (preferred, not required) Cold Readings from the script. Roles: None are pre-cast. No Equity Contracts available in this production. Bright Ideas is meant to be performed by five actors of any ethic group. Joshua Bradley (father of Mac), Genevra Bradley (mother of Mac). One woman can perform Mrs. Heath (A woman who believes in freedom), Lynzie (a great mom), Ms. Labradour (Mr. Scott’s assistant), Mrs. Menteith (an enunciation specialist), Mrs. Malcolm (a Bright Ideas teacher), and one of the Moms. A second woman can perform Cate (a super mom), Denise (a co-worker of Genervra’s), Mrs. Caithness (a drama specialist), one of the Moms. One man performing Ross (a great dad), Mr. Scott (Genevra’s boss), the Airline Steward (a man who wants to get off the ground), Coach Angus (a physical fitness specialist), and Bix (the Blast a Thon Beaver). Others to be assigned Ms Lennox (the Bright Ideas Chief Administrative Executive), Two Moms, and Various Voices.
