Beck Center for the Arts seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to join us in the role of Associate Director of Music & Visual Arts Education.

As a member of the five-person leadership team for Beck Center’s Education Department, the Associate Director of Music & Visual Arts Education (AD) is responsible for the design, implementation, management and supervision of the music and visual arts education faculty, curriculum, and programming with success being measured by customer satisfaction, enrollment and participation results, budget management, customer renewals and new referrals. Working closely with the Director of Education and Beck Center colleagues, the Associate Director will align the music and visual arts programs with Beck Center’s strategic plan, represent the organization at community events, develop concepts interdepartmental collaborations, and manage relationships of constituents in a thorough and   meaningful way to encourage participation and understanding of Beck Center and our programs.

The Associate Director will supervise 30-40 individuals who work part time, which include: faculty in both music and visual arts education as well the pottery manager, and gallery manager.

It is preferred that candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in music education, visual arts education and/or a related artistic field and brings 3-5 years of teaching and/or management in a community based setting. The ideal candidate should be an organized, detail-oriented, pro-active, articulate, customer-service oriented and energetic individual who possesses an ability to work well with students, families, colleagues, and community members. Proficiency in Office Suite and various types of software is a must – registration software preferred.

Salary range will be $40,000-$45,000 annually. The full time, exempt position includes paid sick, personal, and vacation days and a competitive health insurance plan.  Also included are tickets to all Beck Center performances, and greatly reduced enrollment fees for classes and lessons for the Associate Director and immediate family members. There is a 403(b)-retirement option.
