Part-time, competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience

Reports to: Associate Director of Creative Arts Therapies

Position Summary:  Functioning as a member of the Creative Arts Therapies team, art therapists serve individuals of all ages with and without various special needs for local, non-profit community arts center. Assignments include placement in agencies throughout Northeast Ohio region as well as group and/or private art therapy sessions at Beck Center for the Arts.

 Start date: Responsibilities:

  • AT’s primary responsibility includes the design and implementation of individualized art therapy treatment plans with corresponding documentation and reports, with success being measured by punctuality, consistency, client satisfaction, and yearly supervision and performance evaluations.

  • In conjunction with Associate Director of Creative Arts Therapies:

o   Demo sessions for new contract sites

o   Coordinate submissions to Beck Center showcase or other exhibits

o   Manage CAT art inventory and supply based on budget provided by AD

    • Participate in coordinating displays at special events that are related to Creative Arts Therapies programs:

      • Razzle Dazzle

      • 2-3 art department showcases per year

      • Art exhibit in MCAT building

        • Art displays from contract sites as appropriate

    • Represent the Creative Arts Therapies program at fundraising and marketing events as needed.

Qualifications:

·         Master’s Degree in Art Therapy

·         Registered and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) or Board-Eligible

·         Reliable transportation to and from community contracts/Beck Center

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience as an art therapist in a community based program preferred.

  • A self-motivated individual with experience and desire to move the art therapy program forward by assisting the Associate Director in increasing participation and community awareness.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
