The Orange Art Center is seeking a qualified candidate who has expertise in and a passion for arts education and programming to join our arts administration team. This candidate will be responsible for building out and marketing our existing educational programs, planning and implementing new education initiatives, and assisting in the daily operations of the art center. This is a part time (approx. 20 hours/week) paid position with flexible days and times. Competitive compensation. Please send your cover letter and resume to artcenter@orangecsd.org. Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in Adult/Youth arts education and/or arts programming
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Initiative and Professionalism in the workplace
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Operate effectively as an independent team member
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification desired 

 

Duties + Responsibilities 

  • Provide daily operations and program support for the Orange Art Center
  • Lead the recruitment of instructors, speakers, and facilitators for classes and programs
  • Assist Director with the development of new programs and initiatives 
  • Utilize computer skills to manage and develop communications, electronic marketing, operations, and procedures 
  • Keep an organized work space and operate with a high attention to detail
  • Provide excellent customer service to participants and families with phone, email, and in person communication
  • Work as a committed team member with all staff in promoting and exemplifying the mission, principles, goals and philosophies of the department and schools to the community and public at large
