Account Executive

Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based multiple media organization and home to Ohio’s largest PBS, NPR, and classical radio stations, seeks an energetic and responsible individual with a “can-do” attitude to serve as an Account Executive to grow existing client revenue and generate new clients.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Foundation and Corporate Support, the Account Executive is responsible for securing revenue from local businesses, corporations, community organizations, and advertising agencies through sponsorship of Ideastream Public Media's radio, television, digital, and other platforms. In this role, you will sustain and grow existing underwriter support, cultivate clients and prospects by participating in special events and community engagement opportunities while building your familiarity with core national and local PBS and NPR programming.

Qualified candidates will be proficient in using media related programs such as Nielsen Scarborough and Media Audit as well as Salesforce CRM. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Communications, or a related field, three to five years of experience in media sales, or nonprofit sponsorship sales is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered.
