Vocal Chamber Music Extravaganza

The Cleveland Composers Guild continues its year-long exploration of vocal music in all of its various guises — from art song to chamber music to choral music to opera — in this second concert of the season. The repertoire includes “Kipling Songs” by Margi Griebling-Haigh; “The Roly Poly Pudding” (excerpt) by Karen Griebling; “8 songs” (on poems of e. e. cummings) by Eric Charnofsky; “Three Songs for Tenor & Bassoon Trio” by Ryan Charles Ramer; “On This Mountain” by Jeffrey Quick; “To See a World” by Chris Neiner; and “Five Songs” by Tristan Wilson (First Prize Winner, 10th Annual Collegiate Composition Contest).

Some of northeast Ohio’s most accomplished singers and chamber musicians will be featured, including Gabrielle Haigh & Lara Troyer, soprano; Denise Milner Howell & Marley Lieberson, mezzo soprano; Brian Skoog, tenor; Loren Reash-Henz & Brian Keith Johnson, baritone; Alex Cosmo, treble; Rob Brown, narrator; Linda White, flute; Margi Griebling-Haigh, oboe; Emily Campbell, Jennifer Kowalski, & Alex Morris, bassoon; Andrea Belding, violin; Kent Collier & Cecelia Swanson, cello; Robert Gruca, guitar; Luke Rinderknecht, marimba; and Eric Charnofsky, piano & conductor.
