The Healing Arts - Art in Motion

Healing Arts Workshops provide grieving people with a creative outlet for their grief and are open to the community. Supplies are provided; no art experience is necessary. Participants may choose to stand or remain seated throughout the session.

The Art Therapist will be joined by a Bereavement Coordinator who is also an experienced dance instructor. They will take participants through a series of very gentle motions. Each participant will create a scribble drawing that mimics his or her movement. Then, an image will be created out of the scribble drawing. Memories and stories may be shared, as desired.
