The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

That evening you will find yourself transported In scripture and song through the Nine Lessons (readings) which retell of GOD’s love and relationship with humanity.

Each Lesson will be enhanced through beautiful compositions of Lauridsen, Howells, Biebl, Elgar and the familiar warmth of traditional Christmas Carols.

This combination of word and music is majestic and celestial as we hear the story of the fall of humanity in the garden of Eden through the promise of the Messiah and finally the joyous birth of Christ Jesus.

Nine Musicians from Oberlin Conservatory of Music accompanied and directed by Mr. Adam Chlebek, Musical Director for St. James snd Concert Series creator; will use their extraordinary voices and the rich sounds of the organ to share this divine story. This event is the perfect prelude to Christmas.

Benediction will conclude the service with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
