This seminar will explore the building blocks of effective education through the seminal book, “Intelligent Music Teaching” by Robert Duke.

We will examine foundational pedagogy through concepts like transfer, sequence of instruction, de-contextualization, and precision in language and thought. Seminar participants will connect through a collaborative, “round-table approach” in which we will all learn from each other, and deepen our awareness and understanding of the key components to music and student learning.
