SONGS OF THE TRUMPET: The Donald Malloy Story

SONGS OF THE TRUMPET: The Donald Malloy Story is the life journey of New York City based national recording artist and jazz trumpeter, Donald Malloy. This performance explores the challenges of growing up – gang violence, a single-parent family, health concerns – and someone who made it through these things to become a celebrated musician.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Donald has performed with such artists as Gregory Porter, Marcus Belgrave, Jimmy Heath, the Drifters, Eddie Palmieri and Donald Byrd and the Jazz Heritage Orchestra. Donald studied and graduated from Cleveland Heights High School, the esteemed Orberlin Conservatory and Rutgers University.

In 2013, Donald formed “Wave Magnetik”. Since then, he has been releasing music and touring the United States. Always pushing the envelope with his seamless blend of Electronic Dance Music and Jazz, Wave Magnetik has successfully reached listeners worldwide, racking up hundreds of thousands of plays on Sound Cloud, and hitting the #5 position on the CMJ charts.
