The Community Cup Classic Foundation, Josh Gibson Foundation, Lifeline Sports and The PARTNERSHIP proudly present another year of events.
Rube Foster founded the first successful Black baseball league, the Negro National League, in the Midwest in 1920. Three years later the leading Black clubs of the East followed suit and organized the Eastern Colored League. For seven seasons the ECL and its short-lived successor, the American Negro League, brought organized league ball to cities like New York, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
