Expand on your understanding of paper as a medium by creating translucent sculptural works. This process involves creating an armature with willow and cloth. Next, layers of pulp made from Eastern plant fibers (i.e. kozo or gampi) are applied. When the pulp is dry, the cloth is removed, leaving a strong, translucent paper wedded to the willow support.
