“Ripple Hum Reverberate Release” is a sound and video installation that considers the impact of overturning Roe v. Wade as a reverberating cacophony, a mourning wail, and an inescapable immersion.
Ripple Hum Reverberate Release combines repeated video projections and layered audio to create an immersive audio visual experience. Elaine Hullihen researched, read and recorded news articles from Jan 1, 2023 to Feb 9, 2023 about the effects of overturning Roe V Wade in each of the 50 United States and combined them into 4 separate audio files that will be played simultaneously.
