Observation: CONSERVATION Gallery Opening Reception

The natural world provides a constant source of inspiration and information. In early spring 2019, Valley Art Center invited artists to create works inspired by the concepts of Observation and Conservation. Artists were encouraged to explore the beauty of nature, to speak about the threats facing our world, but especially to create work that demonstrates the artist’s ability to study the natural world to gain information—information that can then be used to develop ideas on how to protect and conserve our natural ecosystems and life-giving resources. All mediums and styles are included. Kim Zarney is the juror.
