North Pointe Ballet-What's Your Why- Repertoire Concert

North Pointe Ballet is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing high-quality, professional ballet to northeast Ohio through full-length theatrical events and educational programming inclusive of audience and performers of all abilities. The performance will begin with contemporary repertoire that challenges the dancers with athleticism and artistry, and features video interview of the dancers answering the question “why do you dance?”NPB will then present excerpts of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake as they showcase the technical, classical strength of the company and invited student participants with choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The program will conclude with the premiere of a new work by Artistic Director Janet Dziak that will engage the audience as she tells her personal story through movement. The NPB band will return to share the stage and provide live music for this dynamic piece.
