Join us for the exciting return of Nik Bärtsch’s RONIN to the BOP STOP on a rare US tour. The Zurich-based quartet was founded in 2001 by composer/pianist Nik Bärtsch who aptly categorized their music “zen-funk.”

The band will be performing new music in advance of a new release as well as promoting their previous album, Awase. “Awase”, a term from martial arts, means “moving together” in the sense of matching energies, a fitting metaphor for the dynamic precision, tessellated grooves and balletic minimalism of Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin.
