Curators of Vertebrate Zoology Roberta Muehlheim (current) and Dr. Tim Matson (Emeritus) will lead us on an exploration of the Museum’s Floyd Preserve in Ashtabula County. We’ll sein its high-quality coldwater stream for the diversity of dace, chub, stoneroller, and other fish species that call it home. We’ll look for amphibians in the preserve’s ponds, seepage wetlands, and tributary streams, and watch for birds in the upland forest and among the hemlocks that line the cool stream.

We will assemble at the Floyd Preserve. Directions will be sent to all registrants.
