World Cinema Project on the Big Screen! The debut feature by Memoria’s Apichatpong Weerasethakul introduced the Thai filmmaker’s career-long fascination with the porous boundaries between the real and the imagined.

Mysterious Object at Noon is a daisy-chain “nonfiction” work in which townspeople and villagers across Thailand become on-camera storytellers, each elaborating on a simple tale about a teacher, a boy, and his father begun by a girl early in the film. Special admission $12; members, CIA & CSU I.D.holders, and those age 25 & under $9.
