Duffy Liturgical Dance Ensemble presents a concert of Choreographed Traditional Spirituals arranged by: Roland Carter, Rollo Dilworth, Nathaniel Dett, and excerpts from Hall Johnson’s Green Pastures and Linda Twine’s Changed My Name.
DuffyLit Ensemble, together with singers from community /church choirs will come together to form a mass choir with local vocal soloists who will perform excerpts from Hall Johnson’s Musical Masterpiece Green Pastures. They will also perform the magic of Broadway Orchestra Conductor Linda Twine’s “Changed My Name”. It is a program of music and dance from a volatile and decisive chapter in the cultural history of the United States Of America.
