Mr Jingeling Comes to Shaker Heights

Do you remember local television shows like Captain Penny, and the special holiday tradition of Mr. Jingeling – brought to the area by Halle’s department store? For a special evening, The Shaker Historical Society is bringing these classic area traditions back to life.

Mr. Jingeling was an elf who was named the the “Keeper of the Keys” to Santa’s workshop after Santa lost the key to his Treasure House of Toys and Jingeling saved the day by making a new key.

Join us Thursday December 12th from 3-5pm and witness Mr Jingeling come from the North Pole via our television screen! Santa’s special elf will bring keys to all the toys, as well as a few extra for girls and boys to take their good luck away with them.

See the Halle’s on the Seventh Floor exhibit, enjoy reminiscing with Mr Jingeling and sing some holiday songs to celebrate the season.

Light refreshments and crafts will be on hand to keep your little elves occupied for a couple of hours!
