Michael Frayn's COPENHAGEN

Nuclear threat, policy, power and human motivation are the basis of Michael Frayn’s play COPENHAGEN, being presented by Cesear’s Forum in a limited September/October engagement at Kennedy’s Down Under, Playhouse Square.  The mystery of an actual meeting between the two great physicists, German Werner Heisenberg and Danish Niels Bohr in1941 occupied Denmark, is never fully explained.  The practical application of nuclear physics and their struggle with the inevitable ethical dilemmas emerge.  The play is presented fictionally, “inside the heads” of three characters, Bohr’s wife Margrethe is also present, as time shifts in the past and they relive their memories and speculations on the subsequent ramifications that define history.  Michael Frayn’s COPENHAGEN: September 20^th through October 26^th, Friday and Saturday at 8pm.  Two Sunday Matinees at 3 pm on October 6^th and 13^th, Kennedy’s Down Under, Playhouse Square, 1501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.  Call 216-241-6000 or visit www.playhousesquare.org.  Ticket price is: $18.
