Rebecca Makkai is the author of The Great Believers, winner of the 2018 ALA Carnegie Medal for Fiction, LA Times Book Prize, and Stonewall Award, finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award. A phenomenal speaker beloved by readers, booksellers, and critics, Rebecca has previously published The Hundred-Year House (winner of the Chicago Writers Association Award), The Borrower, and a short-story collection called Music for Wartime.
