Spend your lunch hour watching an encore screening of “To Catch the Light,” a moving documentary about 1954 CIA grad and longtime faculty member Julian Stanczak, during Lunch on Fridays.
Painter Julian Stanczak (1928-2017), who taught at CIA for more than three decades, was a pioneering abstract artist whose 1964 exhibition Optical Paintings at New York City’s Martha Jackson Gallery prompted Time magazine to coin the term “Op Art.”
