A three week program that gathers 40 kids ages 10-17 to writer, direct and edit a short film with the help of working film industry professionals.
The Lakewood Young Filmmakers Academy Summer Camp is a multi-faceted filmmaking experience in which the students write, shoot and edit a real film from start to finish with the help of award winning industry professionals and mentors. The camp culminates in a Red Carpet Premiere of their film where their movie will be seen by a packed house of filmmakers, media, fans, friends and family.

ADMISSION INFO
This program is tuition based. The cost of tuition is based on the number of weeks the students participate in. Each week is broken down into:
Week 1: Writing & Casting
Week 2: Production and Filming and Acting
Week 3: Post Production and Editing

Tickets to the premiere will go on sale after the end of camp.

The world premiere of the finished film will be on Thursday. August 19 at 6pm. The venue is still TBD as we await official COVID updates to determine if the event will be held indoors or outdoors.
