This Juneteenth, the Shaker Historical Society is celebrating the work of the African American Quilt and Doll Guild and commemorating Juneteenth with a quilt show in the Jack & Linda Lissauer Gallery.
The African American Quilt and Doll Guild’s philosophy is to share their work, ideas, and talents in a comfortable and caring atmosphere; to explore their African-American heritage with respect to the textile arts; and to teach and inspire each other. Parking is available in the lot behind the museum. Cyclists may park their bikes at racks near the main entrance. Drivers may park facing the garage. A designated handicapped parking space is located near the ADA ramp and entrance. If the lot is full, visitors may park on the north side of South Park Blvd (opposite the museum).
