Jibade-Khalil Huffman: Confessional Poetry

Please join us for a multi-media performance by artist Jibade-Khalil Huffman, whose video Figuration B (2017), was presented in February as part of the Double Takes exhibition program. This dynamic performance includes the choreography of sound, video, and a poetic reading by Huffman that explore how images and video from popular media shape and alter our world. Like much of his work Confessional Poetry incisively re-frames images and sound from a variety of film and television media to explore an implicit and at times confounding image-based language.

Before his performative lecture, Huffman will be joined in dialogue by Double Takes co-curators Joseph del Pesco (KADIST) and moCa’s A. Will Brown.
