Jewish-African American Relations in Cleveland’s Urban Neighborhoods

Presented by Maltz Museum and Case Western Reserve University Siegal Lifelong Learning at Maltz Museum, Beachwood OH

Feb 17 2019
Jewish-African American Relations in Cleveland’s Urban Neighborhoods

Join author Todd Michney as we explore Jewish relations with African Americans in Cleveland’s neighborhoods

Jewish relations with African Americans in mid-twentieth century urban neighborhoods like Glenville and Mount Pleasant (Kinsman) left a lasting legacy, with implications for their enduring but sometimes misunderstood connection. Join author and urban studies professor Todd Michney, to address ethnic trepidation, tolerance, and turnover in such neighborhoods. A book signing follows the talk.

Sponsored by Facing History, Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, and CWRU – Siegal Lifelong Learning.
