Interpretations of Our Natural World

River Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of ‘Interpretations of Our Natural World’, commencing Saturday, April 13th, 2024, from 3-6pm. This exhibition celebrates the majestic beauty of nature, showcasing a collection of artworks inspired by landscapes, flora, and fauna.

Featuring works by: Linda Mayer, Brooks Salzwedel, Kim Zarney, Kari Russell-Pool, & Marc Petrovic

From the enchanting encaustic landscapes of Linda Mayer and Brooks Salzwedel to the contemporary monochromes of Kim Zarney, and the captivating glass works of Marc Petrovic and Kari Russell-Pool, ‘Interpretations of Our Natural World’ offers a diverse array of interpretations through various mediums. This exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all living things and reflect on humanity’s relationship with the environment.

Brooks Salzwedel describes his work in the exhibition as an exploration of the delicate balance between the natural world and man-made environments. His series delves into the transformative beauty of nighttime landscapes in city parks, revealing the essence of the city and the night through intricate drawings.

‘Interpretations of Our Natural World’ presents a curated selection of works that immerse visitors in the beauty and complexity of the natural world. River Gallery invites the community to embark on a journey through the untamed beauty of our planet and discover the myriad ways in which artists interpret and celebrate nature.

The exhibition will be on view until June 1st, 2025, at River Gallery, located in the Old River shopping area in Rocky River, Ohio.
