Inlet Dance Theatre's Summer Dance Intensive Junior

June 14-18, 2021

Just like Inlet’s longstanding Summer Dance Intensives, SDI Jr focuses on creating a supportive community for students ages 6-12, exposing participants to the collaborative dance-making process, and increasing technical and performance skills.  SDI Jr. will give students the opportunity to make meaningful connections with other students and safely re-engage in small groups, using dance to build empathy.

This 1-week in-person intro camp includes improvisation-based movement games, modern technique, creating new choreography and more!  This year will include variations of current and past Inlet works.  This camp will culminate with an informal performance for family and friends.

SDI Jr is being held at Inlet’s new home at the Pivot Center for Art, Dance & Expression located at 2937 W 25th St, Cleveland, OH 44113.  With easy access to the highway and over 2,800 square footage of studio space, it’s an ideal, safe and convenient location with free on-site parking.

COVID-19 Guidelines – Inlet will continue to monitor the ever-changing guidelines and refer to the CDC for guidance on best practices at that time.  Registration will be limited to allow for sufficient distancing during the camp.  Thankfully, Inlet’s spacious new studios with windows that open will allow for distancing and excellent air-flow.  Detailed COVID-19 policies will be shared with parents at least 3 weeks prior to the start of camp. Flexible cancellation policies will be offered to accommodate the unexpected.

*Inlet Dance Theatre reserves the right to cancel our Summer Dance Intensive ’21 JR if enrollment is too low. Registered students will be notified by May 31,2021 and will be fully refunded.

Half Day (9am-12pm)
$175/week

Full Day (9am-3pm)
$275/week

Before-care (8am-9am) and After-care (3-5pm) can be arranged if needed.  There will be an additional fee of $10/hour for Before and/or After care; please discuss with the Inlet staff prior to the start of camp.

Morning snacks will be provided by Inlet, full day campers will be expected to bring their own lunch.
