Inlet Dance Theatre's Summer Dance Intensive

June 29th, 2022 – July 30th, 2022

Inlet’s annual Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) is perhaps the best example of the company’s mission of “using dance to further people.” The goal of Inlet’s Summer Dance Intensive is to provide students (ages 16+) with a short-term experience of being in a professional company. Typically, students from international & regional locations join local talent to create a diverse ensemble, of various races, skill sets, and socioeconomic backgrounds. In addition to receiving professional training in dance techniques and performance, students also discover personal growth, character development, embodied trust, respect, empathy, self-discipline and confidence.

Inlet’s SDI will culminate in participants performing on stage alongside the company and the dancers in Inlet’s Trainee & Apprentice Program in two performances for the community at Cain Park Evans Amphitheater in Cleveland Heights, Ohio (July 29 & 30).

SDI is being held at Inlet’s new home at the Pivot Center for Art, Dance & Expression located at 2937 W 25th St, Cleveland, OH 44113. With easy access to the highway and over 2,800 square footage of studio space, it’s an ideal, safe, and convenient location with FREE on-site parking.

FULL PROGRAM – $1250Includes: 4.5 weeks of dance training, multiple performance opportunities, Inlet shirt, and costuming

HALF PROGRAM – $550
Includes: 2.5 weeks of dance training, multiple performance opportunities, and an Inlet shirt
9am – 4pm

There are other options available for students that desire to spend part of the summer studying with Inlet, but that cannot commit to the Full or Half Program.

10 Class Card – $150
Students may participate in ten (10) morning Modern technique classes (9:00-10:30am), between July 5-22, 2022

Single Classes – $15 each
Students may drop in to take a single morning Modern technique class (9:00-10:30am), between July 5-22, 2022

COVID-19 Guidelines – Inlet will continue to monitor the ever-changing guidelines and refer to the CDC for guidance on best practices at that time. Registration will be limited to allow for sufficient distancing during the camp. Thankfully, Inlet’s spacious new studios with windows that open, will allow for distancing and excellent air-flow. Detailed COVID-19 policies will be shared with students at least 3 weeks prior to the start of camp. Flexible cancellation policies will be offered to accommodate the unexpected.
