- Video Series – CMA’s new video series shares insights of CMA curators on exhibitions & programs scheduled during the time CMA is temporarily closed.
- Collections Online – Access every object in the CMA’s collection, more than 61,000 artwork records, like never before. Explore high-resolution images and in-depth interpretive content. Search for works with videos or 3-D models, and learn more with up to 36 fields of metadata for each object, including provenance, exhibition history, and citations. Take advantage of CMA’s powerful advanced search options to find new favorites in the collection.
- ArtsLens App – Digitally explore the CMA’s galleries from anywhere. The ArtLens App is free to download and gives access to the museum’s artworks anytime from your smartphone or tablet. Explore interpretive content for every artwork on view, including video content and fun facts. Browse through a curated list of tours created by the CMA—each with bonus content related to the tour’s theme. Favorite tours and works of art, create your own tours, then share your tours with others.
- Social Media – Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates and daily doses of museum content.
- Open Access – Share, collaborate, remix, and reuse images of more than 30,000 public-domain artworks through the CMA’s Open Access initiative. Anyone from teachers, to scholars, to developers can access these public domain images, as well as scholarly information and metadata for more than 61,000 artworks from the CMA’s world-renowned collection. Explore CMA’s Open Access collection from our Collection Online, through our API, or through our online partner repositories. Check out exciting projects that educators and data scientists have already engaged in with our Open Access collection on the blog.
- Digital Archives – The museum’s digital archives include audio and visual recordings of past museum programs and events, oral histories, preliminary drawings, renderings, and works of art by artists represented in the museum’s collection.
