DUET FOR CANNIBALS

Essayist, novelist, critic, cinephile, and intellectual Susan Sontag made her film directorial debut with this dryly funny comedy-drama shot in Stockholm. The movie delineates a love quadrangle in which an esteemed philosopher, his eccentric wife, his male-student secretary, and the student’s fiancée engage in psychological gamesmanship and partner-swapping.
