Daytime Coffee Talk: In the Gallery on the Kibbutz

Join us in the gallery with Peter J. Haas, Abba Hillel Silver Professor Emeritus, for a look at the creation and impact of the kibbutz, the early Zionist agricultural communities.  These collectives were the most successful of all utopian socialist societies and laid the foundation for the government, leadership and economy of the early State of Israel. We will also look at the movement today, which has all but disappeared.  Coffee will be served.
