Dale Goode, Paintings and Prints Opening Reception

The collection of Goode’s work will be shown in Suite 215 Gallery at 78th Street Studios,
located on the second floor, and will be accessible during HEDGE Gallery’s normal business
hours or by appointment.

Dale Goode (b. 1948) was born in Cleveland, Ohio and has lived his entire life in the city. He
has deep connections to his community and the regional art world. A painter, sculptor and
muralist, he has shown his work widely in Northeast Ohio over several decades and has works
in major collections such as Progressive Insurance and the Butler Institute of American Art.
Goode graduated from Hiram College and Kent State University’s MFA program.

HEDGE Gallery will be exhibiting a series of Dale Goode’s more recent paintings and prints,
both figurative and abstract works on paper as well as some of his older, never before seen
paintings on canvas. Dale’s work reflects his boundless energy, created with layers of bold
color and expressive mark-making. His materials are made up of varieties of paint including
oils, enamel, acrylic and latex combined with other found materials. Dale also works on large
scale sculptures and much of the readymade influence from his three dimensional work comes
into play in his painting and printmaking
