About the artist:
Aja Joi Grant is a Cleveland-based photographer and printmaker documenting human stories and visions. Utilizing digital media, film, and printmaking, she seeks to highlight the unique features that make up an individual’s identity. She visualizes photos as moments in time, and these then-present moments are the different chapters in one’s story. She has been an active artist in Cleveland for about 5 years exhibiting in group and solo shows, as well as completing residencies to expand her work and process. When she is not making work she is an art educator teaching photography and alternative process.
