Climate Action Series: Composting in Cleveland

PRESENTER: NATHAN RUTZ, DIRECTOR OF SOIL
Compost is key to drawing down carbon from the atmosphere back to where it belongs—in the soil. In this workshop we’ll meet the microbes that make compost, explore the impact of soil carbon and water vapor on the greenhouse effect, learn why drawing down carbon is about more than just reducing atmospheric CO2 concentration, and get acquainted with the principles of building a home compost pile.
