Cleveland Kurentovanje |Celebrating Prešeren Day & Slovenian Culture

Today we observe Prešeren Day — a major national holiday in Slovenia that celebrates Slovenian culture. The day marks the anniversary of the death of Slovene national poet France Prešeren in 1849 who has been generally acknowledged as the greatest Slovene classical poet. This presentation will feature Slovenian literature, poetry and music.

Complimentary Slovenian wine tastings and appetizers/dessert will be provided thanks to the generosity of the office of the Slovenian Consulate General in Cleveland.

This event is in partnership with the Slovenian Consulate General of Cleveland and will take place in the Parish Hall at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cleveland. There are several free parking lots available.

Doors will open at 4:30PM EST and the performances will begin at 5PM.

This event is FREE and open to the public, however we kindly ask that you register to attend.
