Cleveland Chamber Collective with Inlet Dance Theatre at Cain Park

On Sunday, August 29, the Cleveland Chamber Collective will partner with Inlet Dance Theatre for a free performance at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights. This free concert will include modern works for chamber players, including the evocative string quartet, Ragamala by Reena Esmail.

The second half of the show will feature the full ballet, Caliban Ascendant, by Cleveland composer, Ty Alan Emerson. The story is inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, but focuses on the indigenous people of the island. When the Colonist Prospero takes over the Island, Caliban, Ariel, and the other Islanders must find a way to regain their identity and culture.
