Black Buckeyes: Tale of Two Cities examines the long, storied, and conflictual histories that African Americans have with Cleveland and Cincinnati, both Midwestern cities marking critical points along The Underground Railroad and The Great Migration.

Black Buckeyes: Tale of Two Cities addresses critical issues that many American cities face. From the shores of the Ohio River, the literal gateway to the North, to the vast expanse of Lake Erie facing Canada, this short documentary will look closely at these two urban poles of Ohio by taking a deep dive into the history that leads to the current living conditions of African Americans.
