Learn about our local waterways, how we assess their quality, and how they impact the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie.
Meet at Memphis Picnic Area in Cleveland Metroparks’ Big Creek Reservation. Big Creek, running through the west side of Cleveland and adjacent suburbs, is a major tributary to the Cuyahoga River.
We’ll learn about urban watersheds, collect water samples, and measure and compare the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the East and West Branches of Big Creek with Ohio EPA and other professionals involved in watershed stewardship.
