Since the early 1970s, Frajndlich has been photographing legendary artists and celebrities.

What do Cindy Sherman, Yoko Ono, Peter Lewis, Andy Warhol, and Lou Reed have in common? They, like so many other cultural icons, share the experience of being portrayed by eminent photographer Abe Frajndlich (1946, Frankfurt, Germany). Since the early 1970s, Frajndlich has been documenting legendary artists and celebrities, all starting with his mentor, Minor White (1908-1976) whom he met in Cleveland in 1970.
