Artist, Nancy J Gregg: Do You See What I See?

Nancy Gregg‘s mesmerizing landscapes, floral, and wildlife art will be on view in “Do You See What I See?” the artist’s second solo exhibition at the Solon Center for the Arts.

Retired from a career in teaching, Gregg has returned to the passion that captured her interest from the time she was a little girl. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive, impressionistic style derived from unusual techniques. Employing the same optical effect used by the original Impressionists—the way our eyes visually blend distinct colors when seen at a distance, yet enjoy the mosaic of colors when seen up close—Gregg tends to apply notes of pure color, sometimes straight from the tube, to her canvases with either a palette knife or her fingers.

Gregg’s bold, contemporary art has garnered a great deal of attention and accolades since she became a professional artist. Her work has been selling across the United States, and she often participates in juried exhibitions. She is a member of the American Impressionist Society, the Valley Art Center of Chagrin Falls, and the Hudson Society of Artists.

Visitors are invited to attend an opening reception with the artist on Saturday, February 29, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and the exhibition will continue through March 21, at the Solon Center for the Arts, located at 6315 SOM Center Rd. in Solon, Ohio.
