In the first of Éric Rohmer’s “Tales of the Four Seasons,” a young high school teacher is invited to crash at the home of a piano student, but she soon suspects that she is being set up to replace the young girlfriend of the student’s father.

In the first of Éric Rohmer’s film cycle “Tales of the Four Seasons,” a young high school teacher, Jeanne, is invited to crash at the home of a piano student, Natasha, because Natasha’s dad spends many nights away with his young girlfriend Eve (whom Natasha despises). A Tale of Springtime, a Cinematheque streaming exclusive, can be viewed online from 4/2 thru 5/27 via the link below. Doing so supports the Cinematheque. Screening fee is $12 and you have 72 hours to watch it. The other three films in the cycle—A Tale of Winter (1992), A Tale of Summer (1996), and A Tale of Autumn (1998)—will also be available to stream from 4/2 thru 5/27. A pass to watch all four restorations during that time period costs only $40.
