Misty Copeland shattered gender and race barriers in 2015, making history as the first African American principal dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre. Copeland also made her Broadway debut in the role of Ivy Smith in the 2015 revival of Leonard Bernstein’s On The Town.
